The residence is located near Galatas, an area a few minutes from the northern coastal part of the prefecture and the city of Chania.

A key element of the composition was the creation of an outdoor space that offers privacy but at the same time remains open to the view. For this reason, a slight elevation from the natural ground was chosen with the residence being designed in an L shape, so as to embrace the outdoor space.

The main views to the northwest led to the decision to design the residence facing them, but leaving slits in the building for the pleasant southeast light. The composition is organized on two levels, which define both the day and night zones. On the ground floor level, there are the comfortable living areas, which are directly connected to the outdoor relaxation area and the swimming pool. The second level consists of the bedrooms of the residents of the property. During the design process, special emphasis was given so that all bedrooms have equal access to the view, while an additional open gathering area was also designed.

Respecting the landscape of the area, a large part of the building was chosen to be covered with local stone, while the selection of plants was based on the characteristics of the local flora.
